I’m Wei, and I am the artist behind Honey Thistle here in Toronto, Canada.
Honey Thistle has taken on many forms over the years - it started out as a jewelry brand back when I was just dipping my toe into the world of handmade e-commerce. As I learned new skills and explored more media, I realized that creating in miniature would present the level of challenge and learning that I had always been searching for.
I make what I know - from the army of potted plants that my mom cultivates and fusses over daily, to the cats that I’ve known & loved during my travels, nothing is off limits in my tiny world. I have worked and collaborated with clients such as Madewell and Pottery Barn Kids, and my miniature work has been featured by Hello Giggles, Girl Talk Art, among others.
When I’m not painting tiny leaves, designing craft tutorials, or listening to audiobooks in my home studio, you can probably catch me at the latest art installation or enjoying some tasty bites around the city. That or stress baking. (A good pie can smooth even the roughest days!)
